Member Maria Von Brincken was recently featured as APLD’s “member of the Month". Her design received the APLD Design Award and was featured in the Front Yard Idea Book (Taunton Press 2002). The featured design, "Everyday Retreat Friendly to Song Birds and Turkeys" reflects Maria’s training as a fine artist, color theorist, and graphic designer, as well as her training at the Radcliffe Seminars Landscape Program. Maria tackled a challenging site and created a series of beautiful garden spaces that celebrates the native landscape and enhances the home’s architecture.
